# Adjudicating or Processing a Single Claim

You can run adjudication or processing on a single claim using VBAPI. Choose between a **fire-and-forget** approach or a **synchronous call** that returns results immediately.

## Option 1: Fire and Forget

Use this option when you want to submit the claim and let the adjudication engine handle it asynchronously—no waiting for a response.

- **Adjudicate Fire & Forget**: Use **`Adjudicate Claim No Response`**
- **Process  Fire & Forget**: Use **`Process Claim No Response`**


## Option 2: Wait for a Response

Use this when you want the API to execute immediately and return adjudication or processing results in the response payload.

- **Adjudicate and Wait**: Use **`Adjudicate Claim Now`**
- **Process and Wait**: Use **`Process Claim Now`**
